Well if you were hoping to pick one up at Best Buy with a instant rebate, then you might have to be willing to kill several people.
Boy Genius is reporting that Best Buy will only receive about 4,250 Palm Pres for sale on June 6th. And spread over 1000 locations the whole thing adds up to a blood bath.
Appaently there will also be a two phase launch at Best Buy where the phone won’t be heavily marketed over June and July, and will increase the advertising presence of the Palm Pre in August when inventory increases.

won’t they also have it on launch day? and i wouldn’t think they’ll require a rebate to get the $199 price.

No one is talking about Walmart because Walmart hasn’t really discussed any details about it… like supply and if all stores will carry it or just select stores. Signs point to “select” stores.
