When the official announcement was made I immediately made an online appointment for 8:00 am on June 6th. I have a confirmation number, does this mean I won't have to camp out at my local Sprint store?

Seriously? I'd like to keep this forum as open as possible to any questions you might have for Skimp and his mole, but do you understand what the Touchstone is? You can also find the answer on here in other threads as well as a simple google search...let's not waste the time of others with questions that have already been answered. Because I'm trying to be nice...the touchstone is the charger, so it will plug into the wall outlet and leave you a little base that you can set the phone on to charge without actually having to plug the phone in. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Kit includes the actual touchstone, the cable from the touchstone to the wall outlet, and the back of the pre that allows for the pre to charge on the touchstone. (in place of the glossy black that it comes with) As far as a power cord...other than the touchstone you are also able to charge using a microUSB cable, which I assume the Pre will actually come with, but can be purchased for a couple bucks at most electronic retail sites or around $15 at a local electronic store. The touchstone kit has been priced at $70.

You got it all correct in there so I hope that answers the question definitively.
Random fact:

Kansas state law requires pedestrians crossing the highways at night to wear tail lights.

How will the Pre handle voice and data? Will it be able to handle both simultaneously? If not, will it store emails and hold on to them to be sent as soon as possible once voice is over? Or will it not let you write an email at all unless you are NOT on the phone?

I think CDMA is the restriction for data and voice combination so Pre cant have it due to that.

I have a question:

does anyone know if Best Buy will open earlier that saturday?

I have a pretty simple question. I am a new customer but already have an application number from sprint(so they wont have to run my credit again at the store) will that be honored by best buy or the other retailers selling the phone?

This is QUITE the pretentious question, but I would imagine that there are many people in my shoes, so I'll answer it anyway. I am an iPhone launch customer. Come hell or high water, I'm going to get this phone. I'm trying to decide whether it's better to 1) Wait until June 29th and THEN buy the phone so that my number porting will be simple and painless or 2) do the crazy thing I'm thinking of doing which is getting the phone and then trying to port the number AFTER my AT&T contract runs out? Will Sprint allow you to port the number? I don't mind another month or two being added to my contract. I just don't know if they'll do it once I already have one phone number.

I would have kept this to myself, but I am certain that there are many others like me who might be thinking the same thing. Thanks and appreciate all of the info thus far.

Couple of questions that are burning in my mind:
- How exactly does Synergy work? Have you seen problems with the cross referencing of profiles?
- Have you pushed the device to it's memory capacity yet. (Not talking about USB space.) How many web browser windows did you open of Palm Goon before you noticed an appreciable slowdown?
- I know Palm is probably inviting you to their shin-dig, but please be truthful with this next one.... If you've opened several web browser windows, how many crashes have you experienced? Have you experienced crashes in any apps? (An answer of "yes" won't elicit an immediate, "A-HA!!" -- it's a mobile device. There has to be a breaking point. Just looking to see what we can expect with the current version of the firmware.
Thanks and keep this up. Very helpful.
