Postby kindaskimpy » Mon May 18, 2009 11:46 pm

Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced the availability of new eco-friendly accessories, including the SOLIO Mono solar-powered charger and two new cell-phone carrying cases made from 100 percent recycled plastic water bottles. The SOLIO Mono Hybrid Charger allows cell-phone users to store power from the sun or electrical socket allowing customers to recharge their mobile phone anywhere, anytime. Additionally, both the SOLIO charger and the sport carrying cases from Nite Ize utilize a high percentage of post-consumer recycled paperboard packaging.

In addition to new environmentally friendly accessories, Sprint also launched a new green-themed website at www.sprint.com/green.

I think all carriers should follow the lead of sprint, I mean it shouldn't be that hard to find ways to are eco-friendly. I think Sprint is making smart business choices and many consumers would be more willing to put their money into electronics that will not affect the environment in a dramatic way. :D

Yeah out of all the carriers, Sprint was the only one given a grant by the government to invest further in renewable energy and green technologies. That says something.
