Palm has just launched an open source portal for developers. Therein lies a whole lot of the source code for the webOS software components in release 1.0.1. which should help build a new and productive developer community for the Palm Pre and future webOS based phones.     What a thoughtful balance between the app store and open source Android – I think this was definitely a smart move for palm.
